Energy storage system integration products: including industrial and commercial energy storage systems, household energy storage systems, portable energy storage power sources, etc. Industrial and commercial energy storage systems usually appear in the form of energy storage containers, used for peak shaving and valley filling in factories, parks, etc; Home energy storage systems can provide power security and save electricity costs for households; Portable energy storage power is suitable for outdoor travel, emergency rescue and other scenarios.


Physical energy storage equipment: such as pumped storage equipment, including reservoirs, pumps, turbines, etc; Compressed air energy storage equipment, consisting of compressors, storage tanks, generators, etc; Flywheel energy storage equipment is mainly composed of electric motors, bearings, rotating bodies, etc.


 


Attention should be paid to the following issues when exporting energy storage cabinets:


● Data preparation: Standard documents such as booking authorization letter, commercial invoice, packing list, etc. need to be provided. Special documents for hazardous materials are also required, such as UN38.3 test reports, maritime transportation condition identification certificates, MSDS (in both Chinese and English), etc. If it is an overweight energy storage cabinet, special overweight documents such as overweight declaration and reinforcement plan certificate should be prepared. In addition, different destination ports have different requirements, such as the EU requiring a battery directive compliance declaration, and the United States requiring UL certification.


Classification and packaging labeling of dangerous goods: Energy storage cabinets usually belong to Class 9 dangerous goods, with UN number 3536, and require identification by professional organizations. The packaging should use UN certified Class II dangerous goods packaging, with internal buffering and fixed batteries, and external posting of UN3536 labels, Class 9 dangerous goods signs, and the "lithium battery" label. The total energy of the battery should be indicated at the box door.


Booking and transportation: Priority should be given to shipping companies with qualifications for transporting dangerous goods. Different shipping companies have different requirements for container type, State of Charge (SOC), etc., with most requiring SOC ≤ 30%. When booking, it is necessary to provide a complete set of documents in advance to apply for dangerous goods space, and the deadline for booking is earlier than that for general cargo. When transporting, ventilated containers should be selected to avoid mixing with heat sources or oxidants. It is recommended to purchase all risk insurance for long-distance transportation, and the status of the goods can be monitored in real time through GPS positioning and temperature sensors.


Customs declaration and entry into the port: Customs declaration needs to be carried out after the planned acceptance of the port area, and documents such as customs declaration forms and packing lists should be provided. If inspected, photos of the energy storage cabinet must be provided on site for future reference. Overweight energy storage containers entering the port require advance application for overweight permits in some ports. For example, Xiamen Port requires compliance certificates to be attached and approved before entering the port.


Destination port matters: Importers need to prepare customs clearance documents such as bills of lading and commercial invoices. Some EU ports require lithium battery cabinets to submit a storage application 48 hours before arrival, otherwise high demurrage fees may be incurred. If it is returned due to incomplete documents or other reasons, it is necessary to purchase return insurance in advance and keep transportation records.
